Snap Learning

I love finding things that make education easy and fun. I am pleased to have found Snap Learning.

Snap Learning is a website that offers a reading program.  The reading program includes lesson plans, printable books, assessment material, digital books , and data analysis.

I love how this site has leveled readers for beginning readers- 6th grade.  They have 78 k-1 printable books, plus 50 2-6 printable books. The books cover a variety of topics and are sure to appeal to a variety of students.  These books are great for guided reading, shared reading, tutoring, classroom library, or sending home with students. I think they are also great for parents who home-school, for supplements to school work or just to encourage reading at home.

The subscription also includes ebooks on your choice of format. You can choose from iPad, Android tablet, interactive whiteboard or the web. This would work perfect for classroom use. You can teach using whichever media form your school has access to.

Graphic Organizer to go along with Digital Story
The digital books have features such as graphic organizers, audio, photo slideshows, lesson plans, activities and printable student materials. The 2-6 grade books are even bilingual in English and Spanish.

I love that you have access to trackable assessments, build-in data collection and cloud based data storage. The data anaylsis allows you to see what individual students need help with and also allows you to see the class data as a whole. This would be perfect to know what strategies are needed when focusing on whole class learning, reading groups, or individualized instruction.

Be sure to check out Snap learning for yourself at their website and on facebook. If you are a teacher or homeschooling parent this is one program you don't want to miss.
