Mother's Day is almost here and we are celebrating with our love for cloth diapers!

Yippie! It's May 1st and the start of the Mother's Day Cloth Diaper Giveaway Hop hosted by Daily Mothering!

Maternity Monday

So this last week has been the hardest week for me, I had the worst morning, no afternoon no evening sickness. It started when I woke up more morning and could no longer lay down, I had to go and sleep on the couch just to be at an angle. I would get dizzy, nausea, but lucky I have not thrown up. However I was at the point last week where I wish I could because it might make me feel better. When I was pregnant with Aiden i never had it this bad. Most of the time I just felt sick when I would smell someone cooking. I could eat with no problem but smelling food cooking made me feel sick.

So I tired every thing from eating small meals more often, to eating crackers, to drinking more water and still no help. So I got my preggie pops in the next day! YAY!

Mother's day sponsor spot light:

Are you not sure what to get mom for mother's day? Why not go  back to the basesics jewelry and chocolates! I don't know about you but chocolates always make my day better. One of the best places I have found for good handmade chocolates is This is also a great way to help small mom and pop shops. I have found that most time I like the little guys better, they put more time into make their chocolates extra special. Best part is they are open to not only the USA but also Canada! I had the chance to try their 18  Pcs Gourmet Caramel Collection

Mother's Day sponsor spot light: Ssh-oes

Hey ever one its almost Mother's day!
Ok moms how many of you out there don't always feel sexy after having kids? I know that sometime it can be hard to get ready in the morning, or even just dress up. So when you do get the chance it really does mean a lot (well to me) and makes me feel good. So I was really excited when Ssh-oes told me that they would send me a pair of their really sexy pumps! Most of the time I don't wear pumps because they make your feet hurt. But I have to say I love my Audrey Black Patent Sandal.

Mother's Day Cloth Sponsor Spotlight: A Happy Green Life

Do you cloth diaper? Or are you thinking about cloth diapering? Have you heard that some laundry detergent shouldn't be used on cloth diapers? Some detergents are full of enzymes, fabric brighteners, and fabric softeners that are not good for cloth diapers. What happens if you use the wrong detergent? You could void any diaper warranty you have, you could end up with diapers that leak, and/ or your baby could break out in a rash due to reaction from the detergent used.
I've found that A Happy Green Life has some wonderful Cloth friendly detergent. It is designed to be gentle enough for cloth diapers and baby, yet handle ground-in dirt and stains. From looking at the website, I discovered that the laundry wash is made up of naturally occurring chemicals and compounds "They are void of optical brighteners, phosphates, and soap; all of which are bad for the environment as well as your laundry" (Happy Green Life Website) They use 100% essential oils and also synthetic oils to scent the laundry wash. Scents are designed to evaporate and not build up on clothes.

Mother's Day Cloth Sponsor Spotlight: Giggle Life

I've been cloth diapering for over a year. Recently, I've had problems finding something that will last overnight without leaks. That led me to search for a diaper for nighttime. I found the company Giggle Life. The diapers looked great, and I was given the opportunity to try a Bamboo diaper in Baby Blue.

is this the month?

So as I am sure you all know based off the detox blog event I have been trying to eat right and detox so I am become pregnant. While getting pregnant might be easy for some and hard for other it is still really important to get your body on track the best you can. Well I have been trying to find out when I ovulate. Most people ovulate on  the 14th day, I found out that I don't. I am an odd ball and ovulate on the 23rd day. Again most people do not and it is good to find out when you do ovulate if you are trying to become pregnant.

Well I have been taking test after test after test and every time I got a big fat NO. Well one night (April 6th) I had a dream that I took a test and it came back positive. When I woke the next day, I had one test left  so I decided to go ahead and take the test. Even though I had taken one a few days before. So I took the test and then saw this...

Chasing The Cyclone, guest post

'Chasing The Cyclone' Best-Selling Author Peter Thomas Senese Raises Public Awareness of Growing Surge Of International Parental Child Kidnappings As I CARE Foundation Seeks New Laws That Would Protect Hundreds Of Thousands Of Children Targeted For International Abduction

A new study by the I CARE Foundation indicates that as many as 200,000 children residing in North America may be criminally internationally abducted over the next decade by one parent from the other, and the majority of targeted parents are clueless when a scheme to defraud their rights of parenting is enacted upon.

Best-selling author and filmmaker Peter Thomas Senese is truly familiar with what is clearly a rapidly growing, yet little understood form of severe abuse against a child: the act of international parental child abduction (IPCA) that is more widespread than most of us realize. In fact, not only is the international thriller writer perhaps the most published writer and filmmaker covering the subject of IPCA, but in fact, he is a left behind parent who successfully utilized the rules of international law under the Hague Convention to reunite with his child. Choosing to assist other parents and children so they may not face the hardship of cross-border abduction, Mr. Senese created an "arsenal of tools" as he refers to it that other parents can turn to in order to protect their children including leading advocacy efforts to either create or utilize state or federal laws that will prevent child abduction and human trafficking.

Mother's Day Cloth Sponsor Spotlight: Leettle Hands & Feet

As I have been cloth diapering my son, I've used mostly pocket diapers. However I find that this option doesn't last all night. So in order to prevent leaks and wet sheets I've looked into some other nighttime diapering options.

While I was searching I came across Leettle Hands & Feet. The shop owner Alanna is a stay at home mom with 2 children. She came up with the name from her youngest son's nickname "Leetle", and because she wanted to be the "Hands & Feet" for Jesus to help those in need. She gives
100% of sales profits to World Vision International. She also just finished up doing a diaper drive for D.F.W. cloth diaper project. That project was for getting cloth diapers to needy families. I love that this company is all about giving back and helping others.

I was sent a Red One Sized Diaper Cover Hybrid. I've only ever used a cover a handful of times prior to this one, and I hated that one. However, this cover is awesome.

Mother's Day Cloth Sponsor Spotlight: La Mode Baby Boutique

I have been cloth diapering for awhile now. I have just started venturing into using cloth wipes. In my search for cloth wipes I found a fantastic Etsy shop called La Mode Baby Boutique. I'm excited to work with them during the Mother's Day Cloth Diaper hop.

Here is a little bit about the shop:
The shop owner is Beth and she runs this shop out of her home. Her home is pet free, smoke free, and all fabric items have been pre-washed to prevent shrinkage. Items are Handmade by Beth.
She sells a variety of items including:

Mother's Day Cloth Sponsor Spotlight: Family Cloth Wipes

I’m excited that as part of the Mother’s Day cloth hop we have a set of 15 monkey wipes from Family Cloth Wipes. This is a very nice Etsy shop.
This was my first experience using cloth wipes. Previously, I’d either use disposable wipes or used a wet washcloth.
Why did I want to use cloth wipes?
Cost-why buy disposable wipes all the time when I could save money on cloth just like with cloth diapers.
Convenience- I rarely change my baby in the bathroom or next to a trash can. If I use cloth wipes, I don’t have to mess with what to do with my wipes. Just throw in the wet bag or diaper pail with my diaper laundry. Wash with my diapers. Simple!
There are different methods for using cloth wipes. Some people use wipe solutions and either pre-wet the wipes or wet as needed. Yet others just run under water or use a spray bottle. I’m still experimenting to find a method that I like best.
Just like with cloth diapers you need to wash the wipes before use. After a couple washes these wipes were ready for use.
What I liked:
The friendliness of the shop- I had questions with it being my first time using cloth wipes. Not only did they respond to my questions, they also emailed after a week or so to check on how things were going. FYI…my question was regarding water beading up on the wipes. If this happens to you make sure you wash them some more. It should help.
The cute monkey print- It’s adorable, and if you aren’t into monkeys there are other cute prints to pick from such as sports, dinos, cats, etc. There are also solid colors.

K5 Learning Review

For the past 6 weeks my daughter has had the opportunity to use K5 online learning. My daughter is only 4 years old, so she is a little young for all of the features. She did not utilize the spelling words section or the math facts section. Although I did look at both of those sections and think they would be great for students in at least 1st grade.

Sponsor spot light: Sweet Pea Maternity (ohh, baby, baby)

Hey guys Kiki's Fashion got a great make over. They are now called Sweet Pea Maternity, but they still have their cute maternity cloths. I just love Sweet Pea's cloths, because 9 out of 10 times you can wear their cloths after you have the baby too. The other great thing about them is that they are cheap, and I don't mean their cloth are made cheaply! Have you seen the price of maternity shirts? They can run you up to $150, if not more! But I got this really cute trendy shirt for under $25

Yes I said it under $25, (ps they are sold out of this top) and most of the time you can find some really cute ones that are clearanced. This really is the one non stop shop for your maternity cloths.

Boys Costume Reviewer

I love getting Aiden costumes that he can play dress up with...even if he is still a little young for it. I just love wholesale halloween costumes because they have a huge HUGE range of fun boy costumes. If you son love to watch batman, then why not get him a batman costume? This way he can play dress up and use it for Halloween too. We got Aiden this fun one from "Prince of Persia" so now he can look like Dastan.

Adult Costume reviews

Hey guys so as you all know I have been out of town and I moved this last week too. So I have a few things I need to catch up on now that I have the internet working again. So lets start with this one about Adults costumes. I hate waiting until Halloween to find a costume because most of the time the ones you like are all sold out! Or if you have even just a costume party it's hard to find a place that sells them (not during Halloween). So Adult Costumes is a great online store that you can go to any time and get some great costumes.

Why are Moms Perfectionists

Why are Moms Perfectionists
Perfectionist Moms
Perfectionism comes naturally to most mothers. They strive for perfection in all walks of life, be it raising their children, managing the household, taking care of their homes or excelling at their jobs. There is a reason why all mothers are perfectionists: every woman is conditioned from a young age to carry out all her roles with perfection and this feeling becomes stronger once she is a mom. Also, women constantly compare themselves to their own mothers, aunts and peers whom they have seen carrying out every role with perfection. This inspires them to work harder and strive hard to attain perfection in every walk of life.
A perfectionist mom always wants her home to be spic-and-span, well-maintained and beautifully decorated. She takes pride in such a home and works hard to maintain it. A perfectionist mother also grooms her children in the best possible manner - sending them to the best schools, teaching them good manners, encouraging them to excel in studies and to participate in all extracurricular activities. Children of perfectionist moms also pick up some of her traits and put in their best efforts in every walk of life. In addition to her duties as a mother and home-maker, the perfectionist mother strives to do well in her chosen career too, working hard to manage well on all fronts. She also knows how to manage her social life in an impeccable manner - a perfectionist mother is a great host and cook too.
