Sleep Number....... Baby

I first want to say thank you all for the helpful ideas on how to get my little one into his own crib. On Thursday night I nursed him to sleep, put him in his crib and he was out for half an hour. I then got him back to sleep put him back in, and he was up in less then five mins. Blah.... well I did that three more time then got tired and just put him in bed with me. He slept the rest of the night. So tonight was a busy night for he and he had not had a nap all day. So I put him to bed at 8pm.... its now 10:30pm and he is still asleep, but in my bed. He has not woken up once to look for me. That got me to thinking, maybe he does not like his crib mattress. It is kinda hard and my bed is soft. I have a Sleep Number bed, and boy do I love that bed. Best bed ever!!!

With 2 inches of memory foam on top of that!! I have a very soft, let sleep on a cloud kind of bed. I think Aiden also likes soft beds. So I am thinking about go out and buying a small piece of memory foam and putting it on his bed.

Then again I do love to cuddle up to him at night, and how long does that really last.

I have a leach!!!

Hi guys as you know I am a first time mommy and boy is there a lot to learn. I have two little problems that I am facing not that my son has hit 5 months. I am co bedding and he loves the boob. I started co bedding because it was really hard for me to get up at night sit in a chair and feed him. So I just had him lay next to me and eat if he needed it. Most of the time he will just fall asleep nursing and them wake up 6is hours later to eat again. But now that he is 5 months I am wondering when is the right time to start to get him into a crib and how do I do it. We have one room so the crib is in my bedroom and I can't have him cry himself to sleep because of when my husband works. I do put him in his crib to play sometime so he can get used to the idea of being in there.

So what I think I am going to start doing is getting him to sleep and then trying to move him over...? Have you had this problem before? Are you a co bedder?

The other problem I am facing is that he LOVES to nurse. I guess that really is not a bad thing. Other then its hard to get him on. Most of the time I am lying of the bed nursing him and trying to you all. I really want to breastfeed him for a year, but I am wondering at what point do I start to try and weaning him?

Still I must say I do not regret co bedding him or loving him as much as I do. He is my world and I have been waiting for him to come into my life for many years now. That and I am still not sure if I want to move him out yet......

Go read Sleep Number.... Baby to see how we did.

I hate makeup, I have never been able to find a brand that matches my skin color and does not dry me out. I am very fair skin, okay lets face it I am white as a ghost!! So it it really hard to find my right color. Then I have really dry skin on top of that so any liquids I use just makes my face look flaky. That was until I got to try the new Covergirl NaturalLuxe.

And my lucky winner for the Playtex baby bottle is......

Hey all this is my first twitter hop, so lets all hop on.

Bryton Pick Review

So I just got the opportunity to try this cool product called Bryton Pick. This is a really neat new way to floss your teeth while on the go. Lets face it how many dates have you been on where you have been worried that there is something in between your teeth? Or have gone to the movie and the pop corn is stuck in your teeth? The last thing you want to do is stick you finger in you moth to get it out!!! Not very sexy for a first date. The pick come in little case that fit right where your credit card so its very descrete. The end piece is very thing and flexible making it easy to get in between harder places.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to you all
may your day be filled with

How to enter giveways

HI everyone. I  have some friends of my that don't know the first thing about entering giveaways and have been asking me questions. So I am going to help you the best I can on here. Lets start with the first part:

When someone says Mandatory Entry you must do that FIRST. Most of the time it is simple such as follow me on GFC. But what is GFC? GFC is Google friend connect, on my blog is it on the left hand side and all you have to do is click where it says follow. It will then take you to a page to log in to your yahoo or gmail. Log in click done and that it!!! Now wasn't that easy.

Lets move on. After that most blog have a Extra Entries part. You may do as many or as little as you want here. Just remember the more you do the better chance you have to win!! They usually persist of things like follow on twitter or facebook. The blogger will always up a link up so you can go click right on it and go where they need you too.

Now here is where people start to get confused when there is a (+2) at the end that means leave two comments that you did this. We are so happy that you did what we wanted you to do that we are giving you extra entries. For example on one of my giveaways it says (+2) Go Like Baby Bond on FB (let them know I sent you). So once you go to baby bond and tell them on facebook that I sent you you tell me twice.

Here is the tricky part if it says you can tweet this once a day and leave the link where the blogger can find it. What you do is tweet it make sure you tag the blogger. To do this it is the same on Facebook as well as on twitter. Just do @ and there name, so for me on twitter it would be @mummyknowsrevie. Once you have posted your tweet or facebook, click on the time that it says you did it. It will then take you to a new page with just that comment on it. Copy the URL and then past it in the bloggers comments. That's it!

The only other thing I have have to say is the MOST IMPORTANT  thing you must do it leave your email with EVERY COMMENT. I just make it easier for the blogger to get a hold of you to let you know you have won!!

That's it, see not to hard at all. If you have any other question feel free to ask!

Lovely Baby & Mommy review

I am all about babies listening to instrumental music while they are little. It helps calm them down and expands their little minds. So I was excited to be able to review a company that make instrumental music cds for babies. Lovely Baby Cd make a wide range of cd for prenatal to 36 months of age. They are also enjoyed by adults too, not just for babies. But with mothers day coming up I was asked to review their, "Lovely Baby & Mommy" cd.

Basic H2 from Shaklee Review and Giveaway

I always get worried when I go to clean the house with cleaner because of the smell. All of the harsh chemicals in it can't be good for me or my baby to be around. So I always try to rush clean while he sleeps, but my hands still smell like cleaner once I am done. That is why I'm glad I  found Basic H2 from Shaklee. Basic H2 is nontoxic, natural, doubly concentrated and biodegradable surfactants. But wait here is the best part.... It can be used on just about everything from window to baby diapers to fruits and vegetables. How any cleaners do you know that can do that?!?! What to read what all it can clean click here you really will be surprised.

Playtex baby teams up part 2

I don't know about you but I like to make sure that my babies room stays clean. Not just any clean but germ clean. Dr. Benjamin Tanner teamed up with Playtex to help moms get the right information that they need to keep a clean room.

A recent Playtex survey revealed that having a clean and healthy nursery environment is a key priority for 65% of moms, underscoring the importance of keeping this special room as sanitary as possible. Germ expert Dr. Benjamin Tanner offers five simple and easy tips to help parents do just that.

  • Learn the ABCs of disinfectants vs. cleaners: Cleaners remove soils, but may still spread germs around, while disinfectants kill germs when used correctly. To use a disinfectant correctly in a nursery, remove your baby from the spray or wipe zone and apply the product liberally. After the label-specified time elapses, wipe off the surface with a wet cloth to get rid of any residual chemicals so your baby’s delicate skin doesn’t touch these chemicals. It’s also wise to disinfect hard floors and vacuum carpets routinely to keep germ levels low.

  • Know the nursery hot spots: Germ “hot spots” in the nursery are the areas that come in contact with waste in diapers and other body fluids, directly or indirectly. Areas where most bacteria typically gather include the floor, changing table, toys and toy chest, and laundry hamper – these spots should be disinfected at least once a day to kill these bacteria. Make sure to focus on these key areas more than others when disinfecting in the nursery, and use a proper disinfectant, not just a cleaner.

  • Eliminate germs and messes during change time: The changing table is one of the key hot spots, and the place where diaper messes and germs are transferred from the diaper to baby’s skin. Establish a quick, mess-free diaper changing routine to help keep these germs at bay, keeping supplies handy and close by in a dedicated changing area. Get rid of diapers in a hygienic fashion that keeps germs sealed away – the Diaper Genie II Elite® Pail seals odor into the pail and out of your nursery unlike an ordinary trash can. Diapers only touch the disposable film, not the pail, so there is one less thing to clean. It also offers a convenient foot pedal, allowing you to hold your child and dispose of a diaper at the same time, and has Antimicrobial Protection built into the plastic to inhibit odorcausing bacteria.

  • Keep it clean after a change: Keep soap and warm water, or where not available, antibacterial hand wipes nearby to use after changing your baby. This will help stop the spread of germs within the nursery. And place a special, separate hamper inside the nursery to use specifically for heavily soiled baby laundry, which will help prevent bacteria on this laundry from spreading. Studies have shown that laundry, especially if it has come in contact with bodily fluids, can harbor great quantities of bacteria and even spread them to clean clothes through normal washing cycles.

  • Be mindful of germs when sickness creeps in: Take special precautions within the nursery when you or the baby is sick to prevent spread of illness to other children and throughout the rest of the nursery. Disinfect nursery hot spots even more frequently than normal, including the floor, changing table and laundry hamper, and cover all coughs and sneezes and wash hands before contact with baby and when entering the nursery

Playtex baby teams up part 1

Playtex baby has teamed up with Celebrity Nursery Designer Mary Bauer to introduce: The Insider’s Guide to Creating a Stylish Nursery.

According to a recent Playtex survey, 87% of moms agree that it’s important to put time into making the nursery a great area for their baby. But is it really for the baby? About 67% of moms spend up to (if not more) then three hours a day in the nursery.

As a new mom I remember going over all the different types of thymes for my little one's room. I was so
overwhelmed and did not know where to start. Mary Bauer gives this great guide to help you make the most out of your babies room. I wish I had known some of the thing Mary Bauer is about to share with you. It would have make

Here are some of the tips/guild lines that Mary Bauer uses for creating a stylish nursery:

    • Ease up on Themes and Colors: Bright colors and busy patterns are loads of fun, but use these elements sparingly. Too much can overload the senses and make the room feel crowded. And don’t go overboard on the themes – look for less obvious elements that speak to your theme, and keep them to a minimum.

    • Make the Most of Your Room Size: If you have a small space, avoid using small scale furniture; instead, use a few normal-sized pieces, and choose furniture that can do double duty – like a changer that's a dresser, or an ottoman with a storage compartment. Also, use soft cool tones to make your room feel larger. Make a large room feel intimate by using low light when appropriate and taking advantage of fabulous floor coverings to minimize sound. And dark walls feel cozier – think navy, ochre and browns.

    • Create a Convenient Changing Space: Ensure that your changing table is well-stocked with baby wipes, diapers and an extra set of clothes right at your finger tips, so you never have a reason to leave your baby unattended. Position your diaper pail right next to the changing table and choose a pail that makes the whole process as easy as possible. The Diaper Genie II Elite® Pail offers a convenient foot pedal, allowing you to hold your child and dispose of a diaper at the same time.

    • Secure your Sleep Haven: Whatever your budget is, don’t scrimp on the crib – it’s the place where your baby spends the most time without you and should be a safe and comfortable space. Check out new crib regulations released by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission before making your purchase.

    • Keep the Whole Room in Mind:  Moms often focus on one element, be it the furnishings, wall treatments or bedding.  Consider your floors, ceilings and trim too, finding unexpected ways to make the room pop, like layering a zebra skin rug over your wall-to-wall carpet, or painting a high ceiling navy blue.

    • Make It Personal: Adding personality to your decor doesn’t have to be super expensive – create your own personal touches in your nursery to make it meaningful to you. Include vintage photographs, your baby’s silver cup, framed family heirloom christening gowns, or anything else that means a lot to you. This gives heritage to a brand new space, and makes it all your own.

    • Create a Timeless Feel: No one wants to redo their rooms every year with the changing trends.  Keep furnishings, which are the big ticket items, timeless in design, and add trend with more affordable accent items like bedding and paint.

The pictures where from Google. Just some cute ideas that go long with her tips. I hope this help a lot of you first time moms, or soon to be moms.

    Plum Organic baby food

So our baby just hit 4 months and its that golden age to start introducing food to him. Of course there are lot of people who say you should wait till they are 6 months and only give them white rice..... well after hearing all about Dr. Greene and his white out story...( go here to ready more about it I was glad to know that it is ok so to feed your baby at 4 month only if they seam like they want to eat. Also that its good to start with organic food and not the white rice.

So I looked around and found Plum Organic baby food
